April 12 in the sports complex of the Odessa National Polytechnic University there were competitions among employees of ONPU table tennis.
This year four faculties competed for the title of the best tennis player ONPU: PEI, IRT, BEITI and ICS. Competitions were held on a personal-command scheme (personal and paired meetings).
This year at the tennis competitions, the Institute of Computer Systems was represented by three candidates: O. Fomin, O. Streltsov and I. Blinov.
As a result of the competitions, in the individual competition the winners were:
1st place - Sadchenko A.V. (IRT);
2nd place - Komarov Yu.A. (PEI);
3rd place - Sosnovsky SK (PEI).
Quite a bit was not enough for the prize-winning position for the lecturer of the chair of the Computerized Control Systems, associate professor Oleksandr Fomin. Nevertheless, he still managed to break into the first four. Oleksandr worthily introduced the Institute of Computer Systems in competitions and brought the Institute the 4th place in the individual competition.
Almost level with O. Fomin was presented by the Institute of Computer Systems, associate professor of the Computer Systems Department O. Streltsov, having opened the second four and brought the Institute the 5th place.
Tennis in ONPU has long ceased to be a purely masculine sport. Therefore, among the men's team the only representative of the fair sex was the associate professor of BEITI, E. Tanashchuk. She, along with the senior lecturer of the Computerized Control Systems Department I. Blinov, shared 6th and 7th places among themselves in the individual competition.
In the team classification the seats were distributed as follows:
1st place - PEI team (Komarov Yu.A., Sosnovsky SK);
2nd place - IRT team (Sadchenko AV, Kushnerenko OA);
3rd place - ICS team (Fomin AA, Streltsov OV).
The Institute of Computer Systems for the second year in a row brings an honorary bronze medal from table tennis competitions.
